When the car isn't registered in your name
This is common. The car belongs to a parent, a partner, a former housemate or a relative who has moved away, and you're the one dealing with it.
The sale has to involve the registered owner. In practice, that means one of these:
- The registered owner is present and shows their identification
- The registered owner provides written authority for you to sell on their behalf, along with their identification

When you're on a deadline
Moving out, handing back a lease, or clearing a car park space before a date: tell us the date you need the car gone. We'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it, rather than promise something and miss it.
The more flexible you are on timing, the easier it is to fit in. If the date is fixed, say so at the start.
Tight access
Narrow streets, shared driveways and complexes with limited entry all affect which truck we send. Describe the access when you ask for a quote, and mention anything unusual such as a low clearance or a locked gate.
Cars with a loan
